The kindness corps is our outreach ministry into the community. The purpose of the Kindness Corps is to show God’s love in a practical way. We never charge money nor accept donations for our kindness corps events. These includes such events as providing full service at Lucas’ Sunoco Gas Station in Delmont, buying lunch for people at King’s Restaurant, randomly mowing people’s yards, shoveling sidewalks and even raking leaves. Our kindness corps also involved feeding the homeless in Pittsburgh and raising money for terminally ill individuals and their families. In 2009, we raised nearly $20,000 for two orphaned toddlers. In 2010, we provided both a pig roast and thanksgiving dinner free of charge for residents of the Cloverleaf Community. The Kindness Corps was responsible for securing the Bronze Star and Medal Of Valor to a World War II veteran, who had waited nearly 70 years to be recognized for his service. Kindness Corps events are scheduled throughout the year.
